Laura Schultz is a licensed acupuncturist specializing in fertility, preconception care, and pregnancy support in North County San Diego.
With more than two decades of experience experience in holistic health, and over a decade practicing acupuncture, Laura helps women restore the foundational conditions needed for reproductive health. Her work integrates Eastern Medicine, herbal medicine, nutrition and practical lifestyle strategies to support both natural conception and assisted fertility treatments like IUI and IVF.
Her approach focuses on understanding the patterns affecting each patient’s body and applying the right strategies in the right order to support lasting change.

What to Expect from Fertile Earth
Before Your First Appointment
Once you’ve scheduled your first appointment, you’ll receive an invitation to fill out your intake forms through the Jane App.
It’s critical that you complete these forms prior to your first appointment and as thoughtfully as possible so that I can review them in preparation for your appointment.
The information you provide is the basis for your treatment plan and allows me to offer a compressive and thorough assessment.
Your First Appointment
Your first appointment is my opportunity to get to know your unique fertility struggles and understand your goals for treatment and your opportunity to understand how acupuncture and Eastern Medicine can bring you closer to the family you desire.
During this appointment we’ll spend quite a bit of time reviewing your healthy history and your journey so far. We’ll explore what an optimized cycle looks like, how your cycle may be deviating from this ideal, and how that is potentially impacting your fertility.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask me any questions you have and to be fully heard.
We’ll go over treatment plan, package, and program options based on your particular goals and needs.
You will also receive your first acupuncture treatment tailored to where you are in your current cycle and to promote a deep sense of relaxation.
Following Your Appointment
After your first appointment you’ll receive a detailed email from me reviewing what we discussed during your appointment (so don’t worry about remembering everything that was said!).
It will also include an overview of First Steps for both you and your partner to implement.
Fertility treatment involves so much more than your weekly appointments, and I strive to be a resource for you, both in the clinic and in your everyday life.
Ongoing Care
A typical fertility treatment plan involves weekly acupuncture appointments, herbal medicine, lifestyle modifications, and stage-based self care practices.
Fertility care is a long game and there is no way to rush the process when we are working with a hormone cycle that operates on its own rhythm. Three months or cycles is the typical minimum expectancy before significant changes are observed due to the nature of follicular development.
While my practice focuses on treating and supporting women, your partner should also be prepared to have a semen analysis and make appropriate life-style changes - at the very least.
This is not an easy path. It isn’t fair and it doesn’t make sense.
But I am with you and I know that Fertile Earth Grow Families.
